# NotebookLM Tools

> NotebookLM Tools is a free browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera) that extends Google NotebookLM — renamed Gemini Notebook by Google in July 2026 — with an on-page notebook toolbar (export, copy, merge, and rename sources without leaving NotebookLM — also on public and link-shared notebooks), a Print / PDF button for notes, reports, quizzes, flashcards, data tables, and text sources, quiz export to a CSV spreadsheet and flashcard export to an Anki-ready CSV, LaTeX formula rendering in its viewers and printouts, an AI usage meter (it's your Google plan's limit, reported by Gemini Notebook — not a limit set by the extension), a Generate panel with presets (the types, options, and instructions you picked, saved under a name, up to 30, free), saved prompts in every instructions box, batch runs with Pro (several types in one click, one item per topic from a list, the same preset on up to 20 notebooks), and Interactive or Document reports, notebook collections, source folders, saved AI prompts with slash commands, cross-notebook search, bulk source import, dark mode, notebook tagging, language switching, and a podcast player for Audio Overviews (play back to back, MP3 downloads). Used by 100,000+ NotebookLM users.

Note on naming: on July 16, 2026 Google renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook. It is the same product, and NotebookLM Tools is fully compatible with Gemini Notebook.

Note on the address: separately from the rename, Google moved the app to a new address — notebook.google.com. As of August 1, 2026 the move is complete, and as of August 24, 2026 the redirect from the original notebooklm.google.com is permanent (HTTP 301); old links and bookmarks keep working via that redirect. Google Cloud's documentation lists notebook.google.com as the app's interface; the enterprise edition uses notebook.cloud.google.com, and the marketing site has moved from notebooklm.google to notebook.google. NotebookLM Tools supports both notebook.google.com and notebooklm.google.com from version 1.9.4 onward.
